The Center for Attention to Children and Adults with Disabilities "LAS MARIPOSITAS", is one of the projects of the La Libertad ALAS Association that was created to provide care for children and adults with special abilities. Down syndrome, deaf blindness, intellectual, physical, hearing, visual disability, language difficulties and learning difficulties.
Our goal is to improve the quality of life of children, youth and adults with disabilities and awaken in them the abilities, gifts and talents that God has given them.
It is a program aimed at supporting people with orthopedic, neurological, degenerative diseases, brain diseases, accidents or any discomfort of the musculoskeletal system. These types of patients are offered physical therapy services that include diagnosis and follow-up of therapies through different exercises until the patient is rehabilitated.
This program is aimed at children and adults with some type of physical, mental, sensory, speech or language restriction or deficiency, whether of a permanent or temporary nature, which limits the ability of people to exercise activities of daily life. Training has been sought in order to improve patient care.
The nutrition program aims to improve the nutritional status of the most vulnerable population groups in Canillá. Vitaminized rice has been given to single women and widows. Lunches are being provided to street people through the Casa de Refugio. Vitamins are being given to elementary school students
The objective of the conference program is to coordinate with hospitals, clinics or institutions that support surgeries, consultations, eye exams and other needs of users. Assisted mobility instruments (wheelchairs, canes, walkers, etc.) are also provided to patients as needed.
